Felix dreams that his evergreen companion Filomena will one day fall in love with him. But for Filomena, she and her precious Felix are, and forever will be, ‘just good friends’.
The audience watches as the actor transforms himself into his clown Felix, the old friend of Filomena. Once the red nose is placed on the made-up face, the poetic magic of their everyday life begins.
With this highly original synthesis of Chaplinesque silent movie theatrics, Harold Lloyd burlesque, Marcel Marceau mime, and Jacques Tati humour, Felix and Filomena represent a new, more human, theatrical ‘clown’.
